I thought Killzone2 looked nice and it definitely seemed an improvement over Gears1 then i see these beauties,Gears2 has raised the bar again.
What with top-notch playability and supreme online multiplayer,these graphics are part of the biggest game of 2008..........
Blu-Ray won the format war and there really is no reason for HD-DVD to carry on in any way,shape or form.
Blu-Ray is finally superior and it is the future - for the time being anyways........
With its codecs being finalised,full movie support and greater space for gaming its just the way it is.
If you buy a dvd for $10 and watch it 10 times then thats value for money.
If you buy a dvd for $20 and watch it 20 times then thats value for money.
I think that because the 360 is regarded as a superior gaming machine that people put more gaming time into then even if the 360 was the same price as the PS3 your simply getting more value with your 360.......
Blu-ray,photo cd's,dvd's,streaming content and watching your console cook your Sunday roast...
6 months from now it will be Halo3/CoD5/Gears2 battling for top spot.
Nice to have an excellent choice of games to choose from though!

If Resistance2 and Killzone2 dont recieve overall higher scores than Halo3 then does that mean Halo3 is the greatest FPS of this generation?
I beleive that because Halo2 made such a huge impact with its online matchmaking and multiplayer people expected Halo3 to do the same.
It couldnt obviously simply because Halo2 laid the foundations which Halo3 was built on.

I do believe that its a 360 exclusive - the pc isnt getting the game.
Ensemble have programmed the game for the 360 ground up.
Mind you theres not been a better time to get a 360 - awesome price,hardware seemingly fixed and second to none Xbox live service and top notch games.
Side Note - PC AND the 360 are getting Red Alert 3 very soon - that should be a very good RTS.

This update is massively anticipated - being the biggest update to a home console ever.
Thus people were anxious that the update may slip into next year just so MS could get it perfect - this news is excellent and puts minds at rest.

With an extra 3 months of development time i hope the PS3 version is better - see oblivion etc.
True though that i very much doubt that the consoles will replicate the pc version perfectly - im guessing 80% graphic fidelity - then again pound for pound the consoles will outclass a similar priced pc.
A supermarket probably increases its overall prices due to shoplifters thus it effects everyone - the cost of piracy must be offset somewhere.
Same with video games.

Ive thought of a brilliant way round this.
At the moment say a publisher gets $30 from each $60 game that a shop sells - after this period the shop is free to sell the exact same game again and again making just thems...

They prepare themselves for months in advance and understand what it takes to succeed in their chosen discipline.
The other group are athletes.
Because the first Gears achieved so much graphically people play down the second.
Gears was and still is one of the top,if not THE top beautiful game of this gen so far (consoles only).
If Gears1 was a 9/10 for looks then obviously Gears2 cant be massively better can it.......
Its testament to the guys at EPIC that Gears1 was so groundbreaking on the eyes - Gears2 will polish to the Nth degree the awesome gameplay from the original.
